Description :
  • Lead the execution of data engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders and clients on the status, goals, and value of data engineering initiatives
  • Focus on the development of pragmatic and efficient client solutions, while also ensuring the underlying data architectures are scalable and robust
  • Actively engage in data integrations, warehousing, and other engineering tasks, offering hands-on support and expertise
  • Oversee client deliveries, ensuring high-quality solutions within project constraints, and liaise with client stakeholders as required
  • Contribute to a data engineering strategy that aligns with the organisation's goals and objectives, while focusing on the practical implementation of this strategy
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies, in consultation with the Director of Engineering
  • Contribute to the management of Croud’s GCP infrastructure, ensuring governance practices are followed, and support the company's cloud adoption efforts
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to the data engineering team, fostering a productive and collaborative environment
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements, ensuring they have access to high-quality and relevant data.

 

Requirements :
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in overseeing data engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a data engineering team, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Strong experience in digital analytics, retail analytics and business intelligence with a focus on Marketing
  • Ability to develop and implement data engineering strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and develop client-centric solutions with a focus on practicality and efficiency
  • Proficiency with cloud-based data warehousing technologies, preferably with experience in GCP and BigQuery.
